It still needs some more work as I'm missing a few skills from my current employer and still need to polish the wording on a couple of my experience descriptions. | Happy New Year!! |
| The holiday's were over in a flash. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To start the year off I uploaded all our latest photos of the baby. It covers days 14-77. | Minor Page Updates! |
| I added a small section to my Portfolio that descibes some of the work on this web page. Next I need to start fleshing out some of the projects I did at my previous two employers to finish up the Portfolio. I also updated the links on the left to reflect my current favorite web sites. I plan on changing up the MISC sites at the bottom but ran out of time last night. |

| Search box updates |
| I noticed that the weather.com and Zap2It TV search boxes had broken. This happens when the references web site changes. I fixed both and changed the weather.com search to use the National Weather Services weather reports. Some time this week I'll be changing the main pages links to represent the websites I frequent most and also update my news page with some additional RSS feeds. I also want to upload the pictures I took when Rod was in town last weekend. |

| New Movie Review |
| Ok, well I finally saw a movie that inspired me to type a little. Go here to read the review for the best movie this summer, The Bourne Ultimatum. Since the summer is rapidly coming to a close I will be typing a mini summer review blowout of all the movies I saw this summer and I also will be updating my Portfolio to add my web design experience. |

| RSS News Page Updates! |
| I went through the RSS News feeds today and removed feeds that either did not work or I never got around to reading. I also added some new feeds. Mainly I added Post-Gazette feeds to News and Sports section. I also added a boat load of MSDN feeds under programming and a few other RSS sites. Next I want to put up my Project Portfolio. I documented my current projects from my current employer, which is a start. I just need to make a web version and convert it to HTML before I can post it. Then I'll attempt to document some of my other employer projects which will be difficult and spotty at best. |

| Web Page Updates! |
| April Fools! Nah, I did actually make very slight modifications to the front page today. I moved a couple links around on the front page. Most importantly I removed my Collectibles page. Only thing I collect now are bills. LOL!! I moved the resume to the top and added a space for Portfolio. It also points to my resume currently, but I will be slapping up some sort of a Project Portfolio soon. It won't be anything fancy. Just further breaking down some of my past projects as a Software Engineer. There is a lot of other maintenance that needs done. Links and RSS feeds need cleaned up. It would be nice to make links more dynamic. Have them come from the back-end MySQL database. However, unless I get the itch to code all weekend sometime. It's probably not going to happen any time soon. LOL!! |

| Congratulations Kendee and Brady! |
| Congratulations to Kendee and Brady. The wedding went off yesterday without a hitch (no pun intended). I made small modifications to the front page today. I fixed the TV Search box and added a new Music Search box that uses allmusic.com to provide Album and Artist information. I also removed the ancient Picture box. Other small modifications were made to the News page. I added a couple more RSS Feed links and updated my Wish List for christmas this year. I'll be adding more things as it gets closer to Christmas. |

| It's been a long time since I did any blogging so I typed up a movie review for The Departed. To check it out just go to the blog page. I also saw the new movie called The Prestige and will hopefully throw up a quick review on it this week. Most of my free time has been spent watching X-Files on DVD. Sadly, I'm almost finished. I've almost watched all 9 seasons this year. LOL!!! |

| Hey guys, I just uploaded every picture that was on my digital camera for the first 6 months of the year. Click on the Photo Album link to see 4 new albums. January Birthdays (Pictures from Mom and Jen's birthdays), Dad's Family Reunion 2006 (Pictures from Yesterdays event), July 16, 2006 (Pictures of Zippy before and after haircut and pictures from tailgating at the Counting Crows concert on Saturday) and last but not least Easter 2006 which includes pictures of Nick's birthday and the easter egg hunt. |

| News Page Update |
| I found a bunch more RSS Feeds I wanted to read in the News section so I added a couple more categories. This will allow for some growth as I find more feeds that interest me. Eventually I want to change the layout of the News page to be more dynamic by replacing the categories section with a drop down box that lets the user select which feed they want to read and how many entries from the feed. Then everytime I find a feed, all I do is add it to my database and it automatically shows up in the drop down. This is very similer to how I'm doing it now only I'm stuck with the feed having to belong to one of the pre-existing categories. |

| Finished RSS News page |
| Ok, finally finished adding RSS News feeds to the site. The main page displays 5 RSS feeds. There is also a separate page appropriately entitled News that you can go to that displays a bunch of RSS feeds divided by categories. The rss feeds are refreshed every 60 minutes. Also, you can hover over the headline, and a brief description of the story will pop up. Just click to be redirected to the full story. I'll probably tweak the rss feeds from time to time. Adding or removing feeds as I see fit. |

| Main Page Updates! |
| I've been playing around with RSS news feeds and added a couple to the front page. For those who don't know, RSS feeds are live XML file feeds that are continously updated by the site that provides them (i.e CNN, Fox News, T.V. Guide, Etc Etc). How a person reads the xml rss feed is upto them. You can use powerful free rss aggrigators like NewsGator or you can display it on your website (if you write some code). Think of it this way, it allows you to make your own online newspaper with links to all the stories from your favorite web sites. Just click on the link and it takes you to the story. I thought about downloading one of the free readers but think it would be good experience writing my own page that displays them. Also I'd have to install the reader on every computer, by building it into my site I'll have access to it anywhere. I'm probably going to create another page that is similer to my blog page that displays just rss news feeds of my favorite news sites. For now, I'm just adding a couple to the main page. I also added more movie links and fixed the broken TV search box. |

| Things are pretty slow on the home front. I haven't done much blogging lately. Will have to change that as hopefully my energy level will increase as the weather gets nicer and nicer. | Can you believe the Steeler's? A couple months ago it looked as if they were not even going to make the playoffs. Today they became the first sixth seed team to beat the number 1, number 2 and number 3 seeds in their conference to go to the superbowl. Simply amazing! AFC champions baby! Go Steeler's!!!! |

| Spent most of the day working on the web page. I added a small BLOGS page. Currently it will display Latest News, Movie Reviews and my Developers Journal. Its pretty straight forward. I also updated my Wish List and Action Figures databases. I still need to fix the Movie Search Box as it doesn't seem to work anymore. | To make things more dynamic and easier on myself I changed the front pages Latest News section to be database driven. It will display the latest 5 messages from the database. I can now simply insert data into a database and it will automatically be displayed on the front-page. Next up will be a little History page which will show a History of all messages. |

| In an attempt to add some dynamic content to this site I took my first small step by creating a COLLECTIBLES Page. This page accesses my inventory of Marvel Legend action figures to display which Hero's I have for trading and which ones I am looking for. Once I submit the web page to the search engine crawlers hopefully other collectors might want to trade. The next page I will do is a Christmas List/Gift Idea want list. After that I will probably try to update the main page to read the Latest news from a database so it will be easier to update in the future. |

| With school finally over I decided it was time I put up a little web page. Initially I see this web page as being a handy little home page I can use to access my favorite sites and searches and post a web version of my resume. I'm also posting this web page in hopes that it can be used by family and friends as an easy way to keep in touch.
